Radiant Cordero's Page

Hello all :D

My name is Radiant (Raye/Ray/Rae for short if you'd like). I attend the University of Hawaii Manoa and am studying under the Pre-Law Program, double majoring in Political Science and American Studies.

Aside from Club Charm, I am/have been blessed to be involved with many clubs/charities/foundations/etc. that have allowed me the experience and the opportunity to discover the issues that I am deeply passionate about.

I am a recipient of the United Filipino Council of Hawaii's (UFCH) certificate of recognition for "Outstanding Youth," which "recognizes and celebrates outstanding achievers who have been nominated on the basis of their respective chosen field of endeavor and played an important role in the Filipino-American community at large" -- among other awards & recognitions.

I enjoy: LIFE, being with my family, learning/experiencing new cultures, making new friends, traveling, Greek mythology, trying all types of food, inspirational quotes, seeing live acoustic sets, laughing, smiling, picnics, listening to music, reading books, going to art shows, Bikram Yoga, going to concerts, French language & culture, dancing, going to museums, swimming, taking pictures, archery, bowling and -- anything and everything, I'm open to new things! I just live life. :)

I joined ClubCharm because it represents many of the values in this world that young girls may not have at hand. Being apart of it has the possibility to be life-changing (literally :]). The whole ordeal of being a strong woman takes more than just a strong idea and sense of it. It takes experiences, work, practice and time -- Which is why I believe the core age group of Club Charm's 7-12-year olds is such a crucial time to influence and inspire these girls.

Being a leader, to me, is not saying I know everything and am perfect, but, am willing to assist others to overcome challenges, and succeed together. A leader is someone who is willing to work with others to accomplish something and makes sure everyone benefits positively from the experience.

My personal mantra/philosophy is: "The way the world unfolds for you depends on the way you choose to be."
